Balluff BMF 12M-NO-C-2-S4 Inductive Proximity Sensor

Balluff BMF 12M-NO-C-2-S4 is a tubular magnetic-field sensor (Ø 12 x 50 mm) from the BMF 12M family, designed for compact, non-contact sensing of magnetic fields in industrial environments and for placement in tight spaces where a traditional sensor would be impractical. It uses magnetic-field sensing and is built with a brass housing, wiring through an M12x1 male, 4-pin A-coded connector, and an ordering code of BMF00EC. The device delivers an NPN normally closed (NC) switching output when the field is present, and it operates on 10–30 V DC with a switching frequency up to 10 kHz, enabling rapid responses in fast-moving production lines. It carries IP67 ingress protection and a wide operating-temperature range from -25 to 70 °C, ensuring reliable performance in dusty or damp environments, across automated systems where space is at a premium and exposure to the elements is a concern.
