Balluff BNI IOL-302-002-K006 IO-Link Interface Module

The Balluff BNI IOL-302-002-K006 IO-Link Interface Module, commonly referenced as BNI007Z, is a high-density IO-Link sensor/actuator hub that expands a Balluff IO-Link master with eight dedicated I/O slots for field devices. It is powered from 18 to 30.2 V DC (Ub) and communicates via IO-Link 1.1 on the COM 1 port, using an M12x1 4-pin A-coded connector for the master interface. The eight I/O slots terminate in M12x1 female connectors (5-pin, A-coded), delivering a total of 16 PN P digital inputs and 16 PN P digital outputs (Type 3), enabling substantial discrete I/O within a compact module. The device does not require its own IP address or web interface; configuration and data exchange occur through the linked IO-Link master, aligning with Balluff’s IO-Link architecture. Grounding is supported via an FE terminal, and the first steps typically involve connecting the ground conductor to FE if available.
