Balluff BNI003U Network Interface Block

Balluff BNI003U Network Interface Block is an IO-Link-enabled eight-port I/O hub that exposes 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs across eight M12 x 1 female ports (5-pole, A-coded). It supports 2-byte process data in and 2-byte process data out, with 2-byte blocks used for single-channel monitoring and device identification. The module is powered from 18 to 30.2 V DC and uses a COM 1 M12x1 male, 4-pin, A-coded connection for supply and communication. The eight ports accommodate M12x1 connectors (female) and deliver 16x PN P digital inputs and 16x PN P digital outputs, enabling compact, robust wiring for sensors and actuators in automation environments. As part of Balluff’s Network Interface family, the BNI003U is designed for panel or machine‑mount installations, providing scalable digital I/O expansion for industrial control systems with straightforward diagnostics and identification data transmitted over the IO-Link interface.
