Balluff BNI0090 Inductive Proximity Sensor IP67

Balluff BNI0090 is an IO-Link 1.1 sensor/actuator hub (order code BNI0090) that provides a compact, 16-channel digital I/O interface for IO-Link devices in industrial automation. It is IP67 when threaded in, offering robust ingress protection for harsh environments such as welding cells and automated production lines. The module is powered from 18 to 30.2 VDC and uses a M12x1 Male, 4-pole, A-coded connection for COM 1, with eight M12x1-Female, 5-pole, A-coded ports for IO-Link device connections. It delivers 16x PNP digital inputs (Type 3) and has no digital outputs on this variant, while an extension port enables single-channel monitoring and, in some configurations, alternative process data mapping. Supporting IO-Link 1.1, the BNI0090 enables centralized configuration and diagnostics for compatible sensors and actuators across Balluff networks, making it suitable for automotive welding lines, welding stations, robotic cells, and other automated assembly applications where reliable field connectivity and scalable IO-Link expansion are required.
