Balluff BOS-18M-PA-1QB-E5-C-S4 is a tubular M18 photoelectric retroreflective sensor housed in nickel-plated brass with a PMMA sensing face, designed to detect distant targets non‑contactly. It features a nominal sensing distance (Sn) of 2000 mm with an adjustable measured distance Sa, a repeat accuracy of less than 5% of Sn, and a switching frequency of 100 Hz; the red light emitter / receiver supports both light-on and dark-on outputs. The device operates from 10–30 V DC and provides a PNP NO/NC output at 24 V DC with reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection, no-load current under 20 mA, and a maximum load current of 200 mA, all while offering an insulation voltage of 75 V DC.
