Balluff BOS 18M-WS-7PB is a diffuse-mode photoelectric sensor in an M18 tubular housing (Ø18 x 88 mm) with a normally open output driven by a thyristor plus diode bridge and designed for 20–250 VAC operation. It detects at up to 200 mm with infrared light, using a 3 m PVC cable, nickel-plated brass housing, a PMMA sensing face, and an IP67-rated enclosure (weight about 160 g). The unit provides adjustable sensitivity via a potentiometer and uses a yellow LED indicator to show the switched state, with a divergent beam characteristic typical of diffuse-mode sensors.
