Balluff Bos 5k-NS-ID10-S75 Photoelectric Sensor
Balluff Bos 5k-NS-ID10-S75 Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
Balluff BOS 5K-NS-ID10-S75 is a compact infrared diffuse‑mode photoelectric sensor for reliable object detection at short to medium ranges. It operates on 10–30 V DC with a quiescent current around 30 mA and delivers a NPN normally‑open (NO) output in light‑on switching mode, suitable for simple on/off signaling up to about 100 mA load. The sensor uses an infrared 880 nm emitter and has a nominal sensing distance of 0–900 mm. Its mechanical family sits in a small block housing (42.3 × 19.5 × 10.8 mm; weight ≈ 10 g) with a PMMA sensing surface and PC/PBT housing, rated IP67 for dust and water protection and an operating temperature range of −25 to +55 °C. The connection is via a 4‑pin M8 S75 connector (no separate cable), aligning with Balluff’s 5K‑NS(ID10‑S75) configuration. Applications include presence or position sensing on compact conveyors, packaging lines, and automation tasks where a rugged, space‑saving diffuse sensor is desired. The device’s electrical characteristics include a voltage drop around 1.2 V and built‑in reverse polarity protection, making it robust for integration into standard 24 V control circuits. Overall, BOS 5K‑NS‑ID10‑S75 offers a straightforward, reliable sensing solution when space is at a premium and a short‑range, IR diffuse sensor is required.
