Balluff BOS018P BOS 50K-PA-RH12-S4 Photoelectric Sensor

The Balluff BOS018P, part of the BOS 50K family, is a diffuse, triangulation photoelectric sensor with background suppression that detects most non-transparent targets from 200 to 2,000 mm away, using a 630 nm red LED and producing a roughly 60 × 60 mm light spot at the sensing distance. The compact block measures 28.5 × 80.5 × 62 mm, with a PC/ABS housing and a glass sensing surface, enabling reliable performance in tight spaces and across a range of mounting configurations. It offers PNP outputs in normally open or normally closed configurations and energizes on a 10–30 V DC supply, wired via a 4-pin M12 connector. The BOS018P supports background suppression to reject clutter and improve sensing reliability in environments with varying background textures; typical applications include part detection on conveyors, edge finding, and presence sensing in packaging, printing, and electronics assembly.
