Balluff BOS018P is a 50K-series diffuse (triangulation) photoelectric sensor with background suppression, configured as BOS 50K-PA-RH12-S4. It detects objects by diffuse reflection over a 200 to 2000 mm range and projects a 60 x 60 mm light spot at the sensing distance, using a red LED for signaling. The compact housing measures 28.5 x 80.5 x 62 mm, constructed from PC/ABS with a glass sensing face, and is powered from 10 to 30 V DC via a 4-pin M12 connector. Available in PNP normally open or PNP normally closed configurations, BOS018P carries CE, UKCA, and cULus approvals and is designed for industrial sensing on production lines where background suppression improves detection against complex backgrounds.
