Balluff BOS18KF-PA-1HA-C-02 is a cylindrical M18 diffuse photoelectric sensor with background suppression, designed to detect the presence or absence of objects within a 50–100 mm sensing range by emitting infrared light and reading reflected light. The unit provides two outputs (PNP/NPN) configurable as normally open or normally closed and supports light-on or dark-on switching, powered from 10–30 V DC through a standard 4-pin M12 connector. A polarizing teach-in feature paired with the background-suppression filter helps minimize false triggers from surrounding clutter, while the robust plastic housing and compact form factor simplify mounting in tight automation cells and conveyor lines.
