Balluff BOS23K-PU-RH10-S4 Photoelectric Switch

The Balluff BOS0178 (BOS 23K-PU-RH10-S4) is a compact, washdown-ready diffuse photoelectric sensor with background suppression from the 23K series, delivering reliable detection across 3 to 800 mm. Its 23 × 51 × 52.4 mm square housing is built from PC/ABS with a PMMA sensing face and is wired via a 4-pin M12×1 connector for a PNP NO/NC output, operating on 10–30 VDC and drawing about 100 mA. The sensor uses a red LED emitter in a diffuse, triangulation configuration and features a 15 × 15 mm light spot at the focal point, with a typical focus around 500 mm, making it suitable for varied conveyor and packaging applications. Mounting flexibility is enhanced by a rotatable optical axis up to 270°, helping align the sensor in tight spaces, while the background suppression technology helps distinguish targets from clutter, colors, or reflective backgrounds.
