Balluff BTL7-V50T-M0150-B-C003 Transducer

Balluff BTL7-V50T-M0150-B-C003 Transducer is a Micropulse magnetostrictive linear position sensor that serves as the movable element of Balluff’s Long Distance Positioning System (LDPS). It measures absolute position along a raceway by reading the magnetic signature of magnets fixed to the track, delivering position data anywhere along the path even after restarts. The M0150 designation marks a variant in the BTL7 family capable of evaluating up to 16 magnets, with flexible magnet mode for configuring the active magnet count. Configured as PROFINET (P-C003) for real-time industrial Ethernet, it integrates with standard control networks and supports high-speed feedback. The unit is built into an anodized aluminum housing with IP67 protection and a 10–30 VDC supply. Its architecture enables precise, repeatable position readouts at sizable travel lengths, making it suitable for applications such as conveyor trolleys, automated material handling, and other linear-position tasks that require an absolute reference across meters of motion.
