Balluff SA-CS-001-PS Capacitive Sensor Amplifier

Balluff BAE SA-CS-001-PS is a compact amplifier for capacitive sensor heads that conditions signals from Balluff capacitive sensors and provides a PNP normally-open switching output. The unit measures about 45 × 30 × 15 mm in a PC housing, runs on 12–35 V DC with a typical 0.8 V drop, and delivers up to 300 mA of output current through a 2 m PUR cable (3×0.14 mm²); the output wiring is configured for a PNP NO switch. It is IP67-rated, operates from −30 °C to +70 °C, and includes reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection with a switching frequency up to 100 Hz, making it suitable for robust industrial environments. This amplifier is designed to pair with Balluff capacitive sensor heads to detect the presence or level of dielectric materials, enabling reliable non-contact sensing in automation, packaging, and material-handling applications.
