BA23S is Banner Engineering's 36-inch (0.914 m) glass fiber optic cable assembly built for high-temperature sensing applications. The bundle is 0.125 inch in diameter (3.2 mm core) and uses a stainless steel monocoil jacket with a stainless steel sensing end. The sensing end features an angled tip with a 4.8 mm diameter, and the optical beam exits at a right angle to suit compact mounting. This fiber is terminated, enabling straightforward integration with Banner fiber optic sensors and amplifiers where applicable. The assembly withstands temperatures up to 249 C and requires a minimum bend radius of 25 mm to maintain optical integrity. Sensing modes supported are diffuse (general) and reflective (detailed), offering versatility across diffuse-mode detection and reflective sensing setups.
