Banner Engineering IT2.53S (IT253S) stainless‑steel fiber optic cable is a rugged extension for Banner’s glass‑fiber sensing systems. The 0.914 m (36 in) length houses a 4 mm core glass fiber inside a stainless steel monocoil sheath, for a bundle diameter of about 0.156 in (roughly 3.95 mm). The sensing end is threaded with a 5/16‑24 UNF mount and measures about 5.5 mm across, designed for a right‑angle beam exit and a stainless steel sensing end. The assembly is terminated and rated for continuous operation up to 249 C, with a minimum bend radius of 25 mm to maintain fiber integrity. This IT2.53S/IT253S cable supports Banner’s opposed‑mode and reflective sensing configurations, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments where a durable, high‑temperature fiber optic connection is required.
