Banner Engineering 18821 Inspection Module LIM-2
Banner Engineering 18821 Inspection Module LIM-2
Description:
Banner Engineering LIM-2 18821 Logic Inspection Module is a compact logic-inspection device that coordinates a gating window with data from an inspection sensor via a Banner OS-8 octal socket (sold separately). It operates on 10–30 VDC power, weighs about 0.3 lb, and measures approximately 3.0 x 3.0 x 1.5 inches in an 8-pin package, with eight DIP switches to program eight inspection variables such as input response times, signal polarities, and output characteristics. In operation, the LIM-2 starts a gate window and, if a DATA signal occurs, presents a DATA OUT output on pin 6; if no DATA is observed, a second output on pin 8 can indicate data-absent condition, enabling explicit accept/reject logic. This module is intended for high-speed inspection applications and is commonly used for missing-part detection, bottle/no-fill checks, die protection, and rotary-index-table inspections, among others, with Banner noting it is not a safety device for personnel protection.
