Banner Engineering 46991 SI-MAG2SM Magnetic Safety Switch

Banner Engineering's 46991 SI-MAG2SM is a compact, non-contact magnetic safety interlock switch from the SI-MAG series, designed for guard interlocks and safety circuits on industrial equipment. The small rectangular sensor measures 43 x 26 x 13 mm, uses a 10 ft (3 m) cabled, four-conductor connection, and delivers a reed-relay output with one normally closed (NC) and one normally open (NO) contact, with IP67 sealing in a thermoplastic housing suitable for washdown environments. It operates from -25 to 70 C and provides a switching distance of 4–8 mm (min ON 4 mm, max OFF 8 mm) when used with the SI-MAG2MM magnet, and offers CAT 4 safety performance with SIL CL 3 and PL e, plus a B10d life of 2 million cycles. This model is currently listed as obsolete by Banner, with guidance to select a suitable replacement; it is intended to be used with Banner safety controllers or GM-FA-10J safety relays.
