Banner Engineering APC-18P Air Purge Collar For 18mm Barrel Sensor

APC-18P Air Purge Collar for 18 mm sensors from Banner Engineering is a Delrin (acetal) accessory that threads onto 18 mm threaded-barrel sensors to keep the sensing face clean from water and dust while aiding cooling in warm environments. It uses a 1/8 × 10-32 stainless steel barb air connection to accept a 1/8 in ID air hose and, when installed, adds about 16 mm (0.63 in) to the sensor length with an overall collar diameter of Ø 34 mm (1.34 in). The recommended air flow is 10 liters per minute (0.35 SCFM) at approximately 0.7 psi input pressure, and clean, dry instrument-quality air should be used to prevent contamination. The APC-18P supports two mounting options: thread the collar onto the sensor first and then mount it in a bracket, or mount the sensor in the bracket first and thread the collar on; note that it is not intended for ultrasonic sensors and is designed for use with Banner's 18 mm photoelectric and temperature sensors.
