Banner Engineering BMLV18C Beam-Array Photoelectric Sensor
Banner Engineering BMLV18C Beam-Array Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
The Banner Engineering BMLV18C Beam-Array Photoelectric Sensor is a compact eight-beam light-screen array that provides a fixed 12-inch (305 mm) sensing window for detecting interruptions by large objects as they pass through the field. It comprises an emitter/receiver pair designed to be used with Banner's BEAM-ARRAY controllers, with DIP switches enabling up to two of eight programmable measurement modes and options for continuous or gated scanning. Output configurations include light-operate or dark-operate modes, with RS-232 serial output at 15–20 V DC or analog/discrete outputs compatible with 105–125 V DC or 210–250 V AC supplies. For performance, the array offers a maximum sensing range of up to 3 m when used with Banner high-grade retroreflective tape, and a minimum detectable object size of 50 mm at 0.6 m (125 mm at 2.1 m). The housing is rugged extruded aluminum, and Banner lists emitter/receiver lengths across the line from 300 mm to 1.2 m; the BMLV18C features a 15.4" (391 mm) sensor height and a 12.0" (305 mm) array height.
