The BT13SMSS is Banner Engineering’s fiber-optic photoelectric sensor in the BT13S family, optimized for rugged environments with a stainless-steel monocoil sheath and bifurcated glass fiber. It uses a round, self-contained housing with an inline beam exit, a 0.914 m (36 in) fiber length, a 0.062 in fiber diameter, and a threaded sensing tip; the sensing end is brass. The unit is specified for diffuse-mode sensing and supports reflective configurations, making it suitable for detecting the presence or absence of small parts or surface features along a production line. Banner’s distributor records list the MFR number 20364 BT13SMSS FIBER BT13SMSS as discontinued.
