Banner Engineering BTA23S Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering BTA23S is a diffuse-mode fiber optic photoelectric sensor head with a right-angle beam exit, designed for high-temperature environments up to 249 C. It uses a 0.914 m (36 in) bifurcated glass fiber with a stainless-steel Monocoil jacket, terminated at the sensing end with a 4.8 mm diameter and mounted by a 5/16-24 thread; the sensing end material is stainless steel and the tip is angled. The fiber has a 3.2 mm core diameter and a minimum bend radius of 25 mm, with the termination described as Glass Fiber Sensors. As part of Banner’s Glass Fiber Sensor family, the BTA23S supports diffuse sensing with an additional reflective-mode capability, making it suitable for installations where space constraints and high temperatures limit the use of conventional sensors.
