OTBA5QD is Banner Engineering’s OT B Series Optical Touch Button with momentary action, a touch-activated switch that yields a control signal through a 5-pin quick-disconnect connector. This 120 V AC model provides a SPDT electromechanical relay output, enabling a single common contact to switch either a normally open or normally closed circuit in response to a touch event. The unit features a black field cover and black primary housing, and, according to the OT B Series specifications, is not washdown rated, not illuminated, and does not emit audible feedback. As part of Banner’s OPTO-TOUCH family, the OTBA5QD uses an optical sensing surface to register touch, eliminating moving parts and offering a rugged alternative to mechanical pushbuttons in automation and control panels. The 5-pin quick-disconnect connection facilitates straightforward wiring and compatibility with Banner’s other OTB accessories, making it suitable for integration into control schemes that require a relayed output triggered by touch.
