Banner Engineering S18SN6FF50 is a 50 mm fixed-field, epoxy-encapsulated barrel-mount photoelectric sensor from the EZ-BEAM S18 family, designed for reliable inline sensing in washdown environments. It operates on 10–30 V DC with a complementary NPN output and a 2 m potted cable, delivering a compact 18 mm barrel diameter for easy mounting in tight spaces. The sensor uses an infrared LED at 880 nm and provides background-suppression detection (fixed field) with a 50 mm sensing distance, suitable for detecting parts against a background on conveyors and in packaging lines. It’s rated IP67 and IP69K for rugged, washdown-ready service, with a wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to 70 °C, and a fast response time of 3 ms, plus a 100 ms power-up delay and 750 µs repeatability. The S18SN6FF50 supports light- or dark-operate configurations (depending on setup) with a four-pin interface, making it a versatile choice for compact automation sensing where stable performance is required in harsh environments.
