Banner Engineering Corporation SBF1 Photoelectric Sensor

The SBF1 is Banner Engineering’s Multi-Beam glass-fiber photoelectric scanner block, the compact, 3/4-wire high-speed scanner block that serves as the sensing element in a modular fiber-optic system. As the scanner block component of a three-piece Multi-Beam setup, it houses the modulated infrared emitter and receiver, the optics, and the enclosure that accepts the power block and logic module, forming the core sensing module of the system. It is designed to work with Banner glass fiber cables, with performance and effective sensing range determined by the fiber type and length, and the emitted infrared beam is in the region around 880 nm. In a complete Multi-Beam installation, the SBF1 integrates with a compatible power block and logic module, and the system can be configured to support either light- or dark-operate outputs depending on the application needs.
