Banner Engineering Corporation SBFV1 Photoelectric Sensor
Banner Engineering Corporation SBFV1 Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
The SBFV1 Photoelectric Sensor from Banner Engineering is a MULTI-BEAM fiber-optic photoelectric sensor that uses glass-fiber heads to extend detection from a remote sensing head back to the main sensor block. It supports three sensing modes—diffuse, opposed, and retroreflective—with fiber options such as BT13S and BT23S (and IT13S/IT23S) and lenses like L9 and L16F, plus a BRT-3 reflector for retroreflective configurations. The system is wired as a 3- or 4-wire connection to a Banner power block, with outputs defined by the chosen power block. Performance features include up to 1000 Excess Gain in applicable configurations and a fast 1 ms response time, with repeatability around 0.3 ms. Ranges vary by mode and fiber selection, with data for various configurations showing measurable detection distances up to about 1000 mm for certain fiber/mode pairings. This arrangement makes the SBFV1 suitable for compact sensing around edges, through optical paths that would be difficult for a single-head sensor, and for applications requiring flexible fiber geometry while retaining the robustness of Banner’s MULTI-BEAM family.
