Banner Engineering D10AFP Diffuse Fiber Optic Sensor

Banner Engineering's D10AFP is a diffuse fiber optic sensor designed for use with plastic fiber optics, providing reliable presence detection by sensing reflected light from the target. It operates from 10 to 30 V DC and delivers a bipolar NPN/PNP discrete output via a 2 m (6.5 ft) four-conductor cable, with a thermoplastic, DIN-rail compatible housing. The D10AFP supports diffuse sensing with a red 660 nm light source, and its sensing range depends on the fiber used; the unit accepts unterminated plastic fibers or T5 terminations, with a 0.5 ms (500 µs) response time and 100 ms power-up delay. It is IP50 protected and rated for operation from -20 to 55 C and up to 90% RH at 55 C, using a single discrete NPN/PNP output suitable for automation tasks on conveyors or pick-and-place lines.
