D10DPFPQ5 is Banner Engineering’s D10 Expert plastic-fiber optic sensor designed for high performance fiber-optic sensing in tight spaces. It uses a red-beam (660 nm) light source and delivers two PNP outputs, making it suitable for simple two-channel signaling to a controller from a single sensor. The unit operates on 12–24 V DC and uses a 6-pin M8 quick-disconnect connector (integral QD) for easy wiring to Banner cables and fiber assemblies. Sensing range is fiber-dependent, so performance will vary with the plastic fiber optic cable chosen. Marketed as a plastic-fiber sensing option in the D10 family, the D10DPFPQ5 is intended for automation tasks where a compact, fiber-coupled sensor is advantageous, such as detecting small parts or features through a fiber path, replacing conventional contact switches in constrained layouts, or enabling non-contact sensing in assembly lines.
