Banner Engineering D11SN6FP Fiber Optic Sensor

The Banner Engineering D11SN6FP is a low-cost, self-contained plastic fiber-optic sensor from the D11 Series, designed for quick deployment with Banner’s plastic fiber optics. It runs on 10–30 V DC and delivers a complementary output that can be wired as NPN (sinking) or PNP (sourcing), with a 2 m (6.5 ft) pre-wired cable included. The sensor’s thermoplastic housing carries an IP54 rating (NEMA 4X) and accepts Banner plastic fiber for emitter and receiver ports, enabling diffuse or opposed-mode sensing depending on the fiber used. A 15-turn sensitivity (gain) adjustment plus built-in indicators (green Power LED and amber Output LED) help set detection and monitor operation, while a mounting bracket is included for easy installation. The D11SN6FP is specified for operation from -20°C to 55°C and up to 90% relative humidity at 50°C. Note that this model does not include the self-checking redundancy required for personnel-safety applications.
