The Banner Engineering D12EN6FP is a D12 EXPERT Series plastic fiber-optic sensor head with a single SPST NPN output, intended for DIN-rail automation panels and compact control circuits. It operates on 10–30 V DC and ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable; it accepts unterminated plastic fibers or T5 termination and supports both plastic and glass fiber optics, with range that varies by fiber and sensing configuration. Equipped with a teach button and remote teach capability, a red LED indicator, and a minimal response time of 0.2 ms with 66 µs repeatability, it is designed for high-speed, precise sensing tasks. The sensor uses a thermoplastic housing on a 5-pin connector, carries IP11 protection and a NEMA 4X rating for appropriate indoor environments, and operates from -20 °C to 70 °C with up to 90% relative humidity at 50 °C.
