Banner Engineering D12EN6FV is a D12 EXPERT Series Glass Fiber Optic Sensor designed for DIN-rail mounting with a glass-fiber termination. It operates on 10–30 V DC and provides a single SPST NPN output via a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable with a 5‑pin connection. The sensor includes a teach button and remote-teach capability, plus a bargraph LED indicator for quick status checks. It offers 66 µs repeatability, 0.2 ms minimum response time, and a 100 ms power-up delay, and it supports health/marginal signal output for reliability monitoring. Enclosures are rated IP11 and NEMA 4X, and the device tolerates -20°C to 70°C with up to 90% RH at 50°C. Glass-fiber termination and a glass-fiber sensing path enable detection through challenging media, with sensing range dependent on the fiber used. The D12EN6FV is intended for discrete sensing tasks such as object counting and presence/absence detection, and its thermoplastic housing, 2 m cable, and DIN-rail form factor make it suitable for compact control panels and automation lines.
