Banner Engineering DX80DR9M-H2 Wireless Data Radio

DX80DR9M-H2 is Banner Engineering’s Sure Cross MultiHop Data Radio that extends Modbus IO networks over the 900 MHz ISM band, enabling reliable wireless relay of Modbus RTU data across multiple radios. It ships in an IP67-rated enclosure with an external antenna and is powered from 10–30 V DC. The RS-485 serial interface connects to your Modbus master or remote devices, while I/O comprises four discrete inputs, four discrete outputs, and two 0–20 mA analog inputs plus two 0–20 mA analog outputs. In a MultiHop setup, these radios act as relays to expand range between a master and field devices, using FHSS to improve interference resilience. Transmit power can be set via DIP switches to 1 W or 0.25 W depending on range and duty cycle requirements. Configuration and monitoring are performed with Banner’s MultiHop Configuration Software, and radios are bound to a Modbus network by the master radio during the binding process. Ideal for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and distributed control applications, the DX80DR9M-H2 supports robust, long-range Modbus communication in challenging environments where wired connections are impractical.
