Banner Engineering ES-FA-9AA Emergency Stop Safety Relay Module

The Banner Engineering ES-FA-9AA Emergency Stop Safety Relay Module is a compact, 24 V ac/dc powered safety relay designed to monitor a single- or dual-channel E-stop circuit and switch three normally open safety outputs. It provides one independently controlled safe output rated for 6 A and supports three NO outputs for E-stop, rope-pull, or interlock devices. The safety input is a dual-channel dry-contact type (10–20 mA at 12 V dc) configurable as 2 NC or 1 NC, with a separate reset input (20 mA at 12 V dc, dry contact only) for auto- or manual-reset operation. Power is from a universal 24 V ac/dc supply, drawing about 2 W, and the unit features self-checking circuitry for enhanced reliability. Its compact form measures 84 × 22.5 × 118 mm and uses a removable terminal block for easy wiring. With an IP20 enclosure, operating temperature up to 50 C, and up to 90% humidity at 50 C, the ES-FA-9AA is designed for industrial safety circuits on machinery. The module delivers a mechanical life of around 20 million operations, and typical response and recovery times of 25 ms and 250 ms, respectively, making it well-suited for safety-critical stops in manufacturing lines.
