Banner Engineering ES-UA-5A Safety Relay Module

Banner Engineering’s ES-UA-5A is a safety relay module designed for E-stop, rope pull, and interlock guard monitoring within Banner’s ES/GM series. It supports a universal AC/DC supply—115 V ac on A1–A2 or 11–27.6 V dc on B1–B2—and offers 4 normally open safety outputs rated 6 A plus an auxiliary output consisting of 1 normally closed contact rated 5 A and two solid-state outputs at 0.1 A. The unit features a removable terminal block and a compact 84 mm H × 45 mm W × 118 mm D footprint (width 45 mm), with IP20 protection and operation up to 50 °C and 90% relative humidity (non-condensing). A single safe input channel can be configured as 2 NC or 1 NC, with safety input and safety reset inputs specified as 20–50 mA at 12–30 V dc, and the module includes self-checking circuitry with auto or manual reset. Power consumption is 4 W (7 VA), recovery time 350 ms, and typical response time 25 ms.
