Banner Engineering F1SCANNERBLOCK Scanner Block
Banner Engineering F1SCANNERBLOCK Scanner Block
Description:
The Banner Engineering F1 Scanner Block is a Multi-Beam 3/4-Wire Scanner Block that forms the core of Banner’s modular sensing system, pairing with a separate power block and logic module to create a complete emitter/receiver arrangement for object detection in industrial automation. On the receiver scanner block, sensitivity is adjusted via a 15-turn clutched control under a gasketed nylon screw cover, and an alignment indicator LED (AID) on top lights and pulses in proportion to the received light to guide alignment; the output timing can be 1 millisecond for standard models (high-gain “X” variants may be 10 milliseconds). The housing is a reinforced VALOX body with stainless steel hardware, designed to meet NEMA 1, 3, 12, and 13 protection standards, and it operates over a wide -40 °C to +70 °C temperature range. This scanner block supports both standard emitter/receiver configurations and fiber-optic configurations through Banner’s glass fiber assemblies (SBEF/SBRF1) when running fibers from a single scanner block. It is intended for non-safety sensing applications and should not be used for personnel protection, aligning with Banner’s MULTI-BEAM guidance, and is designed to work with Banner’s range of power blocks and logic modules to deliver reliable, fast, repeatable sensing in automated environments.
