Banner Engineering IM-T-11A Interface Safety Relay

IM-T-11A Interface Safety Relay from Banner Engineering is a 24 V DC safety relay module designed to interface a primary safety device (such as a safety light curtain) with EDM-controlled equipment. It provides isolated, redundantly switched safety outputs: two normally open (NO) safety outputs rated up to 6 A at 24 V DC, plus one normally closed auxiliary output rated 6 A, all arranged on a compact single-module platform with a removable terminal block (width 22.5 mm; overall dimensions 84 × 22.5 × 118 mm). The device operates from a 24 V DC supply (±15%, no polarity) with about 50 mA per input channel (roughly 2.4 W total for dual inputs), and it supports either one dual-channel or single-channel safety inputs with simultaneous or concurrent operation. Enclosure protection is IP20, with a maximum operating temperature of 50°C and relative humidity up to 90% at 50°C. Mechanical life is rated at 20 million operations, while electrical life for the safety outputs is up to 1,000,000 cycles at 450 VA. The IM-T-11A uses two linked, mechanically guided relays (K1–K2) to deliver two safe output channels and a single NC non-safe output, and it carries industry ratings including PL e and SIL 3, making it suitable for interfacing safety devices to control logic and EDM systems in machine safety applications.
