Banner Engineering MA3AF Modulated Photoelectric Sensor Amplifier
Banner Engineering MA3AF Modulated Photoelectric Sensor Amplifier
Description:
The Banner MA3AF MICRO-AMP Modulated Photoelectric Sensor Amplifier is a compact remote amplifier designed for use with Banner SP100AF sensors to deliver enhanced modulated sensing performance in diffuse, retroreflective, and aligned-beam configurations. It operates from +10 to +30 VDC and draws less than 20 mA, providing two open-collector NPN outputs (current sinking) with one normally open and one normally closed contact. AID, Banner’s Alignment Indicator Device, lights and pulses in proportion to the strength of the received modulated light, giving a clear indication of signal quality and alignment. Top-mounted gain adjustment allows sensitivity tuning to accommodate target size and ambient lighting, while the unit is epoxy-encapsulated in a rugged VALOX housing for durability. Mounting options include direct PCB mounting or the optional RS8 socket/wiring base, and sensor leads can extend up to 30 feet, enabling flexible installation in compact or OEM applications. As part of the MICRO-AMP System, MA3AF shares the same fundamental design as other MA3 family amplifiers, delivering a reliable, modular sensing solution for miniature Banner remote sensors and a variety of sensing modes.
