Banner Engineering MBS-D-3000-EM Multi-Beam Sensor

The Banner MBS-D-3000-EM Multi-Beam Sensor is a modular optical sensing platform in Banner’s MULTI-BEAM family, designed for long-range, multi-beam detection on automation lines. It employs a configurable architecture with interchangeable AC or DC power blocks and 2-, 3-, or 4-wire sensor blocks to match your control logic, and supports several sensing modes including opposed, retroreflective, diffuse, convergent, and glass fiber optic configurations. Beam patterns are created by scanner and logic modules, enabling coverage that can reach up to 200 m in suitable configurations and letting you tailor the system to diverse layouts and coverage needs. Optional Alignment Indicating Device (AID) aids, along with mounting accessories and edge guides, help simplify accurate setup for complex beam arrangements. Typical applications include long-range part presence detection on conveyors, material handling, and process-line monitoring where multiple beams provide robust coverage and a reliable curtain of light. The modular design lets you scale beam count, receiver sensitivity, and response timing without changing the core sensor face, supporting flexible integration across manufacturing environments.
