Banner Engineering MGE3016A Photoelectric Emitter

The Banner Engineering MGE3016A is a 30-inch (762 mm) photoelectric emitter designed for Banner’s MACHINE-GUARD safety system, forming the emitter half of a guarding pair with the MGR3016A receiver. Paired with the MGR3016A receiver, it defines a 30-inch high sensing field along the guarded area, so beam interruption halts the protected machine when an object or person breaks the beam. The MGE3016A is designed to work with Banner safety controllers such as MGCA-4A or MUSC-1 to monitor the emitter/receiver pair and enforce safe-stop behavior in industrial environments. As part of Banner's MACHINE-GUARD System, this emitter is used in machine guarding applications where a defined optical barrier is required to protect operators during automated operations. In practical installations, the emitter is mounted on the machine frame facing the receiver to create a straight beam path across access points, with alignment and testing per Banner MACHINE-GUARD instructions to ensure reliable response and safe-stop signaling when the beam is interrupted.
