Banner Engineering MIAD9RQ Inductive Proximity Sensor

MIAD9RQ is Banner Engineering’s Mini‑Beam NAMUR receiver, a compact 18 mm rectangular photoelectric sensor designed for M18 mounting. It operates on 5–15 V DC and provides a NAMUR output through a 4‑pin M12 integral quick‑disconnect. The infrared LED sensing beam delivers a 6 m maximum range in opposed mode, and the housing carries IP67 and NEMA 4X ratings for washdown environments. The thermoplastic body tolerates −40 to 70 °C and up to 90% relative humidity at 50 °C, with an acrylic lens and an 18 mm barrel diameter. It features light/dark operate and a fast 2 ms ON / 0.4 ms OFF response time, making it the NAMUR receiver half of Banner’s Mini‑Beam NAMUR system; a matching emitter and, if required, a mating cable are typically needed to complete the setup (suffix Q denotes the 4‑pin M12 integral QD). The device is intrinsically safe for use in hazardous locations when wired to approved interfaces.
