Banner Engineering MSCD-2 Mini-Screen Control Box

The Banner Engineering MSCD-2 Mini-Screen Control Box is the rugged metal-box controller at the heart of Banner’s MINI-SCREEN safety system, housing the controller module and relay assembly to manage the safety logic for industrial light curtains and related devices. Designed to work with Banner’s MINI-SCREEN emitters, receivers, and accessories, this enclosure provides trip- or latch-selectable safety outputs and couples with Banner’s remote key switches and muting options as part of a complete Mini-Screen installation. The system’s reliability is supported by replaceable components—the controller module and relays—with a recommendation to use only Banner-supplied relays that have forced-guided contacts. The power-supply board includes a fuse located in a fuseholder, and the fuse type specified for maintenance is 3AG or 5x20 mm slow-blow. Diagnostic indicators on the unit provide visibility of status and faults, with the rightmost decimal point of the display able to flash to signal electrical or optical noise, and other LEDs indicating fault conditions or active states. Servicing the MINI-SCREEN controller box requires de-energizing the system and should be performed by a qualified person, especially when opening the enclosure to observe programming or diagnostics.
