Banner Engineering MSDINT-1 Light Curtain Controller

MSDINT-1 Mini-Screen DIN Control Module is Banner Engineering’s 24 V DC light curtain controller with a trip-type output, designed for MINI-SCREEN emitter/receiver pairs used in point-of-operation guarding on small machinery. As part of the MINI-SCREEN System, the control module automatically recognizes the size and type of the connected sensors with no programming required, and the two sensors connect to the module via two 5-wire shielded cables (sold separately) with quick-disconnect fittings for easy installation. The MSDINT-1 supports 2-beam floating blanking and provides a trip output when the light curtain is interrupted, powered from 24 V DC. The compact DIN module measures about 4.0 in x 3.0 in x 5.0 in (10.2 cm x 7.6 cm x 12.7 cm) and weighs roughly 1 lb 2.1 oz (0.5 kg). Banner’s MINI-SCREEN system is described as “diverse redundant,” using two microprocessors of different designs to enhance safety and reliability for smaller guarding applications. Typical use cases include safeguarding access to small-to-medium machinery where a compact, quickly installable light curtain controller is desired.
