The emitter-to-receiver spacing accommodates 6 inches (15 cm) to 30 feet (9 m) for standard sensors, with a response time of less than 48 ms for the 28-inch area and under 60–72 ms for larger defined areas, plus a 20 ms self-checking interval and ambient-light immunity exceeding 10,000 lux at 5 degrees.
