OSBFX-01 is Banner Engineering's OMNI-BEAM high-power glass-fiber optic sensor head, designed to be used with a compatible power block and logic module to form a complete sensing system. It uses infrared 880 nm light, and range varies with the fiber used and the connected power block; as the high-power mode in the OMNI-BEAM family, it delivers the highest excess gain available in the photoelectric line, enabling reliable operation over long glass-fiber links and through signal conditions that challenge lower-gain sensors. The unit offers a 15 ms response time and 1 ms repeatability, aligning with moderate-speed industrial tasks. This sensor head is a two-part assembly—the head plus Banner power block—where outputs and cable options are defined by the chosen block and fiber type.
