Banner Engineering PIES46UT Fiber Optic Cable Assembly

PIES46UT is a Banner Engineering plastic fiber optic cable assembly engineered for opposed-mode sensing, featuring two 1 mm core diameter fluoropolymer-encapsulated fibers, each 2 m long, with an encapsulated sideview sensing end and a right-angle beam exit. The fiber ends and jacket use FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene), with a 5.0 mm sensing-end diameter and a Free Cut termination that allows end-user trimming to length; the minimum bend radius is 25 mm, and the assembly is rated for ambient temperatures up to 70 C, with chemical resistance inherent to the fluoropolymer configuration. The design is intended for compact, tight-space installations where light transmission occurs between fiber tips in opposed-mode configurations, and Banner lists PIES46UT as obsolete.
