The Banner Engineering PIF16U Fiber Optic Sensor is a two‑fiber inline plastic fiber optic assembly designed for tight‑bend routing and compatibility with Banner fiber optic sensing controls in through‑beam or inline configurations. The kit includes two 2 m plastic fibers with ferrule‑style sensing ends (end size 2.0 mm) and a stainless‑steel sensing end, all housed in a polyethylene jacket with free‑cut termination. The PIF16U supports opposed sensing mode in general use and reflective sensing in detailed operation, and is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 70°C. The fibers feature a 5 mm minimum bend radius and are non‑retractable, providing a compact, remote sensing option where space constraints limit traditional fixed sensors.
