Banner Engineering's Q20PR-78016 is a rugged through-beam photoelectric receiver in the World-BEAM Q20 Series, designed to pair with a matching emitter for beam interruptions across conveyors, chutes, or gaps up to 12 meters. It operates on 10–30 V DC and provides a PNP solid-state output with a 2-meter, 4-wire cable connection. The receiver uses a visible red 655 nm beam, housed in an IP67/NEMA 4X rated, thermoplastic enclosure with an acrylic lens, suitable for washdown and harsh environments (-20 to 60 C; up to 95% relative humidity at 50 C). It supports light/dark operate and delivers a fast response time of about 1 ms (ON) / 0.6 ms (OFF). The unit features standard mounting options with 3 mm threaded holes on 25.4 mm (1 in) spacing and a maximum sensing distance of 12,000 mm. The Q20PR is a receiver in the opposed-mode configuration and carries 4 pins for power, supply, and output, with status indicated by onboard LEDs to verify alignment and operation. Typical applications include material handling, packaging lines, and automated assemblies where reliable, high-speed presence detection across a defined gap is required.
