Banner Engineering Q3XTBLD-Q8 Laser Contrast Sensor

The Banner Engineering Q3XTBLD-Q8 is a Q3X Series laser contrast sensor designed for reliable diffuse sensing of low-contrast targets, with a sensing range up to 300 mm (11.81 in) and a visible red laser beam. It operates on 10–30 V DC and uses a 5-pin M12 integral connector for quick-disconnect wiring, delivering bipolar outputs: 1 NPN and 1 PNP. The enclosure carries IP67, IP68 and IP69K protection and a NEMA 4X rating, enabling use in washdown and harsh industrial environments. In diffuse/ background suppression mode, the Q3XTBLD-Q8 can detect subtle contrast differences on parts and labels, making it suitable for applications such as presence/absence verification and low-contrast detection on production lines and packaging workflows.
