Banner Engineering Q3X Laser Contrast Sensor, model Q3XTBLD200, provides reliable 0 to 200 mm contrast sensing with a visible red 655 nm laser for high-contrast target detection. It operates from 10 to 30 V DC and provides bipolar outputs (1 NPN, 1 PNP) via a 5-pin M12 integral quick-disconnect connector, housed in nickel-plated zinc die-cast with IP67/IP68/IP69K (NEMA 4X) protection. The Q3X family includes background suppression to improve detection on challenging backgrounds and can handle high-speed part detection—up to 2000 events per second—when configured for the application. Typical uses include inline part-detection on conveyors, presence checks for labels or foil, and other quality-control tasks where reliable 1D contrast sensing is required.
