A compact Banner Engineering Q3XTBLD50-Q8 Laser Diffuse Sensor from the Q3X Series delivers reliable contrast sensing with Background Suppression over a 50 mm range. It operates on 10–30 V DC and provides two discrete outputs (1 NPN, 1 PNP) via a 5-pin M12 integral quick-disconnect connector, enabling flexible wiring for automation panels. The sensing beam is a visible red laser (Class 2) and the device supports Diffuse with Background Suppression, with a background suppression distance up to 60 mm, making it well-suited for close-range part detection against cluttered backgrounds. Built rugged for industrial environments, it carries IP67, IP68, and IP69K protection and NEMA 4X rating, housed in a nickel-plated rectangular body with an M18 mounting interface.
