Banner Engineering Q45BB6LVQ Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering Q45BB6LVQ is a Q45 Series rugged rectangle retroreflective photoelectric sensor designed for harsh industrial environments. It operates from 10–30 V DC and detects target presence at ranges from 0.08 to 9 m using a visible 680 nm red LED, with bipolar outputs (one NPN, one PNP) through a 4-pin Mini Integral QD connector. The sensor’s thermoplastic housing measures 30 mm in barrel diameter and provides IP67 and NEMA 4X protection, suitable for dirty, wet or dusty conditions; it supports light/dark operate, includes a timing (hold/delay) function, and provides a 2 ms output response time, 100 ms power-up delay, and 500 µs repeatability. Operating temperatures span -40 °C to 70 °C, and the device includes status LEDs for quick indication, with a potentiometer for adjustment. It is not intrinsically safe, does not include remote teach or water-detection features, and is not washdown rated, making it a rugged choice for integration on conveyors or automation stations that rely on reflective targets.
